Turn routine work into automatic action.
theBRIDGE uses configurable rules to recognise incoming or outgoing work, evaluate business conditions and trigger actions across Outlook, Teams and SharePoint.
Automation that doesn't depend on your computer.
Configured automatic rules run through theBRIDGE's Azure-hosted backend, triggered by Microsoft 365 notifications. Supported processes continue without requiring users to keep Outlook open.
- Microsoft 365 A message arrives in a connected mailbox.
- Webhook notification Microsoft 365 notifies theBRIDGE.
- theBRIDGE Azure backend Checks the mailbox owner's rules.
- Configured action The matching rule's actions run.
Outlook closed? Your configured automation can still run.
Runs in the cloud
Rules are held and run by the platform, not by Outlook or the add-in on a computer.
Actions you configure
File the email and attachments to SharePoint, apply configured metadata, assign or categorise work, set a response target, apply an Outlook category or flag, post to Teams, or send an automatic reply.
A record of what ran
Each rule run is recorded, so you can see what happened, and temporary failures are retried a limited number of times.
This is rule-based processing, not AI. It depends on your subscription including Automation Rules, a healthy Microsoft 365 connection, the right permissions and service availability. Rules act on matching messages that arrive after the rule is created, and processing is not instantaneous.
Define the trigger. Check the context. Take the action.

Recognise important work as soon as it arrives.
Inbound rules evaluate every email that arrives in a shared mailbox and automatically trigger actions based on the conditions you define.
Automate what happens after the response is sent.
Outbound rules trigger when a user sends a reply via Send & Process, automatically updating the Work Item, filing the sent email and recording the activity.
Respond automatically using controlled email templates.
theBRIDGE can send an automatic reply using a saved email template when matching work is received.
- Templates are configured and saved centrally
- Rules determine which template to use
- Replies use controlled, pre-written content
- Not generative AI — consistent, approved messaging
Let automation keep the Work Item moving.

Make PDF conversion part of the workflow.
PDF conversion participates in theBRIDGE automation through Process Packs, converting documents as part of a multi-step processing sequence.
Bring Teams into the process when collaboration is needed.
- Automation surfaces work in Teams when conditions require collaboration
- Work Item context stays connected between Outlook and Teams
- Team and Channel mapping provides the destination
Rules decide when. Process Packs define what happens next.
Configure business rules without hard-coding the process.
Keep automation visible and controllable.
Automate work as it arrives — or as it leaves.
The same rule model applies to both directions. Inbound rules trigger when work arrives. Outbound rules trigger when a user sends a response.
